This collection is inspired by the Animal and Bird motifs used extensively in the beautifully decorated gospels of Britain and Ireland.
 
 
LDD101 - Dog motif brooch from the Lindisfarne gospels. The gospels were created by Bishop Eadfrith between 680 and 720. Beautifully illustrated, the gospels have been described as one of Englands greatest books.
